The Show Axis Legend option from View menu is used to show or hide axis legend.
Choose Show Axis Legend option from the View menu as shown:
When chosen Show Axis Legend option, you can see as follows:
Show Axis Legend positioned when grid, chart, and slice editor are all checked:
To show or hide axis legend you can use also Show/Hide Axis Legend button 
in the toolbar
